right..well for christmas i listed several graphics cards on a list, and the one that ended up getting picked was the XFX 6800 vanila, for £150...ish

but i reevaluated that choise and now think i was incorect, so how far can £150 go to gettin a better card for my money?...

current choise:

would prefer Nvidia...and has to be PCI-E...so sugestions please:)

i alredy have Nick's sugestion...it is:

but as i sed...i'd prefer non-ATi...as its a kinda been there done that thing...so...sugestions...preforably ebuyer or overclockers...

The card Nick pointed out can be overclocked and unlocked to a very fast card and is one of the best cards out for vfm tbh mate. But if you want nvidia then 6800GT on ebay for around £150?? :)
 
i was thinking perhaps a second hand 6800U or a second hand 7800GT...

ebay is also a posability, if there is one then please point it out lol:)

1. ionicle you cant spell for shit lol,

2. dont get a gto and try and flash the bios ;) youll end up with a card that looks like its been into a toaster
 
@ enV, Harmonic, you can ONLY do it with a MODIFIED version of ATi Flash or w/e from Techpowerup. I tried ATi's Winflash w/my card, and I flashed it. It was successful, but only 12 pipes still. Did a BIOS flash, 16 pipes :D.

Don't think he cares mate: do you think Ian should be trusted with a VGA BIOS flash? I don't ;)

The thing is he said to me he like to: "find his own way". and "not just follow what other people do" :rolleyes:

in this case, unles you can find a NV card, i will go with that, and i wil make an exeption to the above statement:D
