If thats the case: then I'd do buy the ATI card and follow Nick's guide :)

Looks at "ban" button.......don't be such a damn nub

:eek: theres a ban button:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:eep...:eek:

wel colour does matter, i dont want a comp, in a case with a window, that looks crappy, i want a comp that looks good! and even if that means sacrificing performance jsut a bit...so be it, but it would look good:D

Stupid argument. I could buy an AXP system costing less than half of yours that would look far superior. Does the "overclcoking and modifying" part of this forum not strike you as central to SX? We buy parts that we will get high performance AND looks. Especially if we can buy a cheap card and OC the nuts off it to get it to run at the price of a much more expensive card.

Ask yourself this Ian: do you actually belong here? Are you striving to get the best performance out of what you can afford? Do you need it? Wouldn't a Dell be better? Do you ever listen and take heed? Why do you never take the advice of others.

This is your last warning. Stop posting nonsense, listen to others, take heed of our answers and opinions, follow guides/manuals/advice and stop asking the impossible (Dave just posted a an example of that).

We are tolerant to all our users on :anisx: but you overstep the boundaries very often when others know what you post is a prevarication.

Thanks

Ionicle,

This is a "..Modding" forum. Not a "look good at stock" forum.

If the top end graphics card is on a green PCB (my 6800gt's are), then buy yourself some UV paint, and paint the circuit traces or something cool like that.

"Overclock it AND Mod it".

"Overclock it AND Mod it".[/QUOTE]

or in my case, mod it and it explodes :D

well, we seem to have settled that hes getting a 6800, but unfortunately, as nick pointed out, the pci-e version uses a new pcb/core which cannot be unloacked to gt levels:(

right...well on an overclocking note, i jsut got my processor to 2.7 GHz stable...and ok...last warning...getcha...and i see your point...where can you get UV paint from?

ive seen your painting skills first hand, please dont do it, you could end up fuckign somthign up big time, and on a brand new 6800 that aint too good

...unless i go for the GTo lol...i am convinced now it would be a better card, i just need some VERY detailed instructions on how to unlock it......and by very detailed i mean so that i have a list, so i dont even have to look at the screen, it tells me exactly what buttens to press and exactly what to do

You're dumb...

If you get an X800GTO why not keep it at 12 pipes? Nothing wrong with that. OC it a bit and you'll have a great card. :) (You don't even have to do that.)
