Hi guys,

Ive found this deal on overclockers for an asus 560 ti for £150.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-247-AS

Its the cheapest ive seen one and at the moment I have no graphics card at all as mine died a couple of weeks ago.

So my question is if I bought this as a stop gap and waited until the 6xx series came out then sold it on would it be worth it? If I could sell it for £100 plus then it seems like a fairly good deal. Ive got a feeling its gonna be a while before this release and it seems like a waste for my machine to go completely unused until then. Plus in the mean time im stuck using my gf's cursed dell inspiron!

I think you may be over estimating what you can sell it for, I reckon by the time the 6 series comes out you will be looking at £70-75 probably. On the other hand it is a really good card, my girlfriend has one in her rig and it puts my old 280gtx to shame. If that is all that is holding your rig back, £150 is a pretty good price, although you do have to deal with OCUK, which aren't the nicest people around.

Yeah im just guessing on the resale price have seen a few 460s go for around £100 so based it on that, your estimate is probably alot closer to what I would get though. OCUK are a nightmare at times yes, im really struggling on what do to be honest. I would have just gone for a 570/80 but it seems silly with 6xx so close, id stand to loose more value that way I think. Mabey I should just give up gaming for 4/5 months.

Good idea it's a safe choice. When you go 6XX's you might get a SB Extreme CPU that has lots of PCI-xpress lanes, then you could dedicate the 560 to PhysX

Good choice. I have the TOP version of it and although i switched to a Thermalright Shaman as a cooler the idle noise of this cooler is very low.

Honestly with all the current games there's no real reason to buy anything more powerful - runs all mine at high settings @ 1920x1080 (: rest is e-peen or higher res.
