2408WFP and 2 other screens

Hi there

I was going to get the dell ultrasharp 24 next monday, but i was wondering, is there any way of connecting 2 other monitors with it? I've got a 8800Ultra so obvisouly only 2 outputs, but is there splitters you can get?

The other thing i was thinking of getting is one of those EVGA UV12 devices, but i havent really seen any reviews or anywhere you can buy them for that matter.

Any advice welcome.

Oh and before anyone asks why i want 3 screens, it's jsut becuase i've got 2 now and i want to be greedy :D

Digital stuff for this sort of effort is pretty expense from what I remember.

Vga stuff isn`t that bad. There are the matrox options, normally 2 outputs per card, or I think 1 output and a breakout that`ll do many.

Don`t know a cheap way of doing it.

Had a quick look in the stores for some cards and came up with this 4 display one (I doubt u`d find a 3 display logically) http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=135113

Now the thing is, I`m sure this pci card just works as a regular gfxcard with 4 outputs, each can be independant.

What I would want personally is to take my spanking gfxcard (nvidia/ati) and have the pci card spread it over 3 displays.

I`m sure there`s a dual or spanned way of doing it with 2 regular gfx cards, but the drawback here is that firstly ur not using the card in single display mode, which is slower, and the drivers aren`t independant per output, afaik.

I`d search the forum also, cos some1 posted a grandprix racing setup on here with 3x 19" 4:3/5:4 monitors which was neat - I`d copy them.

Well i had a little look for that thread you said about but couldn't find it:( i'll have a better look at home. But i will probably get the EVGA box as its USB and only £50 rather than £400!

Just wondered if anyone had any experience doing it really. I will let you know how it goes once i buy it

haha, 4, but then it wouldn't be symmetrical! but that does look like a cheap answer to my problem, only thing is, does that then read it as 2 seperate monitors or just mirror one image onto both screens?

Well my new screen came today and it's AMAZING! compared to the 17" next to it, it's just incredible, forget having the 2 17" sitting beside it, im just going to buy another 24"!

Yay part of the 24" club! lol

2408WFP FTW

haha, cheers but they have to look exactly the same:P im picky like that, so im just going to get the E2408WFP to go with it lol
