2 x 6870 vs GTX 570/580

Need some help on which graphic card/cards to purchase. When I bought my motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3) I saw it did crossfire and figured it did SLI, it doesn't. So now when I need to upgrade my current graphics card (Geforce GTS 250) I'd like to see if it is better to go with a 6870 in crossfire or any other crossfire config like 6950. Or getting a single GTX 570 or 580. My playing resolution is 1920x1080 and don't plan on doing eyefinity or anything like that. Any advice would be great, thanks.

Get a single card. You wont have micro stuttering or scaling issues. and your temps will be better. get the 570 and if you have the money go for the 580.

For 1080p its a waste of money going for XFire.

Get a GTX580.

i'd go for a 570 or 580 but i guess you could do the SLi hack
