I have a question for you guys:
I am giving away my little Pentium K from this build :http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=69116
Its been replaced with a Xeon 1231v3.

Should I stick with the 8Gb 1800 of Kingston HyperX Fury or should I use the 16Gb of these guys here? How much of a difference would it make? (Speed and otherwise)

\well if you are just gaming 8 GB will probably be fine, but tasks more focused on productivity would benefit from 16 GB.

I'd stick with the pretty stuff unless you know you need the extra capacity for a particular application. 8GB is still quite a lot in the grand scheme of things.

I HAVE to make a choice, i need one set of memory for a ultra low budget rig that will see nothing more than some youtube or email/general office use. (4 Gig would probably be enough, but since i already have these two kits, I don't want to spend the extra money....)

Bit of a dilemma, what would you do?

What do you use 'TTL told me so' for? If it's nothing more strenuous than gaming then I would keep the HyperX in it purely for aesthetics and slightly better speed/timings. If you edit massive video files or something else then put the 16GB kit in it. I only run 8GB in my gaming rigs, 16GB in my X79 rig but it never gets used.

Thanks bud :beerchug:
I'll stick with the Kingston Kit then ;) I do use photoshop, but not often enough to justifiy the larger kit :)
