Finally, 5 years after I first started researching custom pc's (and around 2 years of saving up) I am ready to build my first rig. Well, this summer anyway. So here's my current spec list:

- Intel 3570k

- Asrock z77 Extreme6

- Palit GTX 670 Jetstream

- 8gb Corsair Vengeance black 1866mhz

- Coolermaster Cm 690 ii Advanced Black & White

- Nzxt Havik 140

- Crucial M4 128gb

- 1tb Seagate Barracuda

- Pc Power & Cooling Silencer Mk iii 600w

The build was originally going to be a black & white theme, but when I saw the palit 670 jetstream and the asrock extreme6, I had to throw a little bit of black and gold in there as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Looks good apart from the PSU looks a bit meh. Get something along the lines of a Corsair, Be Quiet, Silverstone, NZXT, XFX, Enermax or Seasonic unit. Apart from that it looks like a solid build

+1

change psu but looks like a really nice build, so you don't want your really nice build going up in smoke because you cheaped on the psu

I would get a 650 watt (min) psu just in case you want to run two 670's at a later date

oh and all looks good to me, so good luck with your build

[sup]PC power and cooling make good quality PSU's and stand behind their products with a 5 year and 7 year warranty. I have never personally owned one of their power supplies but have researched the company and their products. I do not think you will have any problems wth one ot their products. [/sup]

In regards to the PSU, I'm never going to buy another 670, just don't have the money and I don't need it. Also, all the reviews of it are extremely positive and PC P&C make solid PSU's, plus it's only about 60 quid. Initially I was a bit afraid of the price as a cheaper PSU normally indicates less quality, however I tried very hard to find any negative points about it but couldn't

Nothing against the PSU as I hear they are good quality...

But, I know with that case you can probably find a better cheaper deal ie: http://www.ebuyer.com/291428-coolermaster-cm690-ii-white-with-600w-silent-pro-gold-psu-eb-692a-wwg600

Those power supplies are around £80 to buy separately so you'd be getting a better deal there. Although I take it the only reason you have that PSU on the list is because it's white?

Still, it's up to you, looks like a good build other than that though mate! Also, good decision on the case, you wont regret it
