JLR's New Build

Well, its been a while since I last done a build (I think the last one was the overclocked G3258 aka Starboost) but after a while of saving cash for a new build the time has finally arrived :D

Parts have been ordered today and are as follows:-

Motherboard : Gigabyte Aorus Master X570
CPU : AMD Ryzen 3900X
RAM : GSkill Trident Z Neo 16GB (2x8GB) 3600Mhz
Cooler : BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4

I will be using the following parts from my current gaming rig (i5 3570k....Served me well):-

Case : Corsair 780T (White)
GFX Card : Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX Vega 56
PSU : Superflower Leadex Platinum 750W

I was thinking of getting a new case but nothing is really calling out to me at the moment, the 780T is a nice case but when I built my system in to it I wasn't too impressed with the quality of some components and as a result it took the shine off it a bit for me (maybe I have just been unlucky with my case?)

I have been building computers since I was 16 and only ever built with Intel CPU's, I am 35 now and this will be my first AMD build :)

Will post an update with some pictures when I receive the parts and get the build going.

JLR.

Edit.....Forgot to mention Storage : 1 x Adata XPG SX8200 256GB NVMe, 1 x Samsung Evo Plus 500GB NVMe

Looking forward to seeing this PC.

Just wondering what is your use case is? I'm curious what you need those 12 cores for.

I'm looking forward to building it :D. The idea is to future proof it as much as I can as I don't tend to upgrade very often. When I was ordering it I was thinking is this a bit overkill, but thought.....ah well, why not :p.

If he updates every 8 years 12 cores is a safe bet. :D

Exactly!!! :D

**UPDATE**

A very late update but I am happy to report the build is now complete :D.

I ended up swapping out the G Skill RAM for some Crucial Ballistix Elite (I bought the wrong kit) and the price of the kit with the timings that I wanted was quite expensive.

I'm not too bothered about RGB so buying the Ballistix kit wasn't an issue. Besides, the RGB couldn't really be seen underneath the BeQuiet Cooler anyway.

To tidy things up, I also bought a cable kit for my Superflower PSU.

Anyway, here as some images...
