Funny thing is I didn't even buy the RAM for this build, I've had it for about two
years now. :lol:

Good temps though

No problem mate. And yeah, I'm pretty happy with the drive temps (CPU as well,
although those will still go up a bit when I o/c the rig). I once read a study Google
did on their server farms regarding mass drive failures and it found the 44 C was
actually the optimal temperature for HDDs to run at, so the Reds could still be
a bit warmer, but there's not really that much I can do about that. And I'd rather
have them be a bit colder than optimal than too hot.

Part of the reason I had my disks in Aquadrives in my last rig was actually not to
cool them but to keep them at a nice warm and cosy temperature even when it
got a bit cold in winter. Sounds a bit crazy, but it actually worked very well. I regulated
the fan speeds not by CPU temps but by HDD temps in that machine.

I have about 1.8 TB free at the moment. Total usable capacity is 12 TB, the remaining
5 TB are used for parity by ZFS. So yeah, I'm already thinking about expansion and
how to best go about that in the next few months. But first I need to finish HELIOS.
Also, I will need to take another break because I need to get another operation in
the next few weeks. Plus, I'll need more money for buying more HDDs.

Haha, my father actually seems pretty happy and impressed, which is kinda nice.

And don't worry about your English too much, as long as people understand what
you mean you're fine (and any misunderstandings can always be cleared up,
unless somebody got killed :lol: ). Not everybody has the time and/or opportunity
to learn perfect English (besides, if you want to be future proof, you're better off
with Mandarin anyway :lol: ).
