hey everyone

been having some issues with the my rig lately as most of you know, had a black screen after I reset the cmos and couldnt figure out what happened

so I reinstalled the os and walla cpuz 4 cores 8 threads, it even says it in system config, but the bios still only offers 2...but its a hell of alot snappier now

got my normal overclock of 4ghz back but with lower temps then before, havent done anything with the gpus but I know I didnt install the samsung disc that came with the monitor so im currently doing that Im using my 460 sli atm (the 580s are just in there box for the moment) gotta reinstall some programs like itunes which is a pain but Id rather my issue fixed (well sorta)

I know aye but will those bent pins affect anything else? next issue folding!

Im gonna get some to do that because im seriously not capable of setting it up

yeah there was about 4 of them when i lifted the cpu up which i was not impressed with... still works tho, or is it a major is in which serious action must be taken?

haha i swear my first point of call was reinstall the OS

! And ye try bend them back using two credit cards one on each side and slowly move upwards

I might get my cuz to do that, if Im the near cpu I get really scared for some reason like I have a fear of braking it, you guys should of seen the thermal paste when I took of the d14

Reinstall windows ^^^^

but first you could have a look in your Bios see if you have a feature to Enable all cores in your CPU area!

msconfig>>boot>>advanced options and see how many cores are listed...select the 4 and reboot. If it is already ticked UN TICK it

Agreed, I handle my cpu like it's made of babies. >_< I feel like its going to snap in half if I twitch.
