G'day Peeps,
Hope you all don't mind but I need to talk about this with someone, so last week I was talking to my Doctor about pain in my neck from a motor accident I had in the 80's and he said well lets get a new scan done to see how much deterioration there is.

Well my neck is stuffed but that's not really the problem, they discovered a shadow on the scan, so he send me off for an ultra sound of my Thyroid.

So it turns out that I have upto a 45% chance that I have Thyroid cancer :( on my left side and 5% of my right.
In talking with my Doctor we've decided to have another ultra sound in March to see if there's any changes before doing a biopsy and then possible surgery as well as other measures commensurate with the findings.
So I'm trying to stay positive but gotta admit I'm worried and a little scared and just need to express it to someone, to try and help me come to terms with what's happening.
So yeah pretty mixed emotions ATM anyhow thanks for letting me get it out.

Man, thats bad news !

But I'm sure you'll be fine, 55% percent chance you havent got it on your left and 95% chance you havent got it on your right, gotta stay positive.

And with all the modern medecines about these days I'm sure you would pull through just fine.

Got a scan monday myself, I've gone deaf in my right ear, not sure if there is any medicine that can fix that though !

Anyway, youll be just fine, if you get freaked out just shout in here, somebody is always about....

Thanks Bud! And lets hope it is something fixable with your ear as it could be a blockage or something?

I hope it'll all be fine for you man, life can be pretty scary sometimes, so stay strong and try not to let your mind race away with you as hard as that will be.

Yeah thanks mate, actually that's the hardest part, guess it's pretty true the fact that you can be your own worst enemy.

It's understandable to be worried; we all would be in that situation. Just try to stay positive until you get the results. We are all here for you.

I have a cousin who had Thyroid cancer. It is one of the more treatable forms of cancer out there, especially if found early. For now, let's hope that it isn't that.

Stay strong buddy.

Good luck man. As said hopefully it will be something else.

Just try and stay positive mate, until you know for sure

Stay positive, It may sound like hippy crap but being negative can have very real effects on the body, The mind is a powerful thing.

Watch good films, Talk with as many people as possible, Keep your mood up, Heck even game with some of us, I'm sure we'll crack you up ^_^

Yeah I've been doing that I just watched the Mandalorian and enjoyed the hell out of it and the new season of the Expanse is happening two days from now my time, and I want to game so bad but can't as I'm on my old laptop as there's no new CPU's or GPU's in Australia till next year and I'm still waiting for my 5900x and 6800xt.
I tried Star Citizen on my lappy and it hit 90C so fast and kept climbing due to it being summer here I don't want to risk killing it and I had just finished repasting everything and cleaning it up of any dust. So it means waiting.

So I had to have a biopsy today which hurt like a as they don't use anesthetic the first hurt but the second one was the worst, so I get the results maybe Friday, probably Mon/Tue, so I'll update when I have the results.
