Hi guy,

Unfortunately it looks like my XSPC 750 pump died, and I need a new pump.
I need your suggestions to get a new one.
I don't plan to buy another XSPC pump, they obviously don't last more than few months ...

i7 2600K
XSPC RX360
Asus GTX670

I have XSPC Rasa block cooling the CPU, but i'm planing on adding a GPU block soon.

You're best of with a D5 really.

I'm actually thinking about a D5 pump, heard they are really reliable+ i don't really want to get a new pump every several months ..

The XSPC pumps are only made for a single block, and they are pretty well known to burn out after a couple of months with multiple blocks.

Definitely get the D5.

Yep, useless pumps really ..

Any suggestions for a top and res?

I kinda like this res+top though:

Yeah, for a bay res I like that one too.

If you want a tube-style res, I suggest the Bitspower D5 Upgrade Kit 150. It comes with mounting brackets to mount the assembly to the floor of your case. If you get that kit though, you need to get the Bitspower D5 mod top for the pump itself, as the kit doesn't come with it. (I think it should come with it, especially for the price, but that's my opinion :))

I actually used to own that res. Mine developed a leak, but before that it an perfectly, and really quietly too.

Up to you - there's been a few reported leaks with it though.

I've switched to stand alone pump tops and reservoirs now.

The thing is I have no idea how or where to mount a tube res :D
That's why i prefer the bay res's because it's pretty easy to mount.

I heard quite few complains about this unit (leaks).
That's why im worried

What case do you have?

I thought the same tbh...
When you actually have them in hand, you come up with ideas really quick.

Can quite easily attach them to rads if mounted in the front, and if not, there's generally plenty of spare screw holes in the motherboard tray.

If you have a fan in the floor...
Most pump tops come with some form of metal stand. I have mine screwed in (only 1 screw) to the fan. Then with a male to male 1/4 inch thread, you can screw a reservoir straight into that as long as you don't get one of the massive reservoirs. The thread alone will support the weight when you get tubes in and everything - as long as you aren't too violent with your case of course...

I have Xigmatek Elysium and it's really HUGE, so i guess I have enough space.
I have the rad mounted on the roof.

Right now I think i'm gonna go with Alphacool VPP655 pump, dunno what top to choose though.
I've seen some guys on youtube mounting the tube-res directly to the pump, how is that possible? I would like to have this kind of setup.

Umm,
2 ways to go about it.

1, I've already suggested: Get a male to male fitting, and screw the res straight to the pump like:

Just note that the res is screwed into the wrong threaded hole of the pump top...
I use this: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...Top-for-Laing-D5-Pumps--Acetal-pid-15340.html
And it has another inlet on the top, which makes things easier to manage.

2, Koolance do a pump top that you can fit a tube res directly to:
http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...servoir-Base-Rev-20--COV-RP450-pid-16411.html
Then a res will screw into the grooves. You'd obviously have to mount it against something vertical however which may be an issue.

To reiterate what I said earlier (you must have missed my post):

This Alphacool top looks easy to mount, I think i'm gonna go with it, plus it's quite cheap too. And the res will be this one:
http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p9256_Phobya-Balancer-250-black-nickel.html

Couple of things:
-In that image, the res is standing on the top and there's nothing supporting it, is that ok?
-Is this the fitting you mean (male to male) ?

Edit: By "massive reservoirs" you mean 250+ reservoirs or what?

It's fine as long as the reservoir isn't too big. I'd probably say the one you've linked is.
I've got a 150mm one, and that's probably as large as I'd go.

Maybe think about that?

Bear in mind, you'd ideally want the barb in the centre, so you'd have to run that upside-down, which would look a little odd. Maybe look for other alternatives that just has an ordinary single connection on one end, and 3 normal ones on the other: ie:

Although feel free to get something a little more fancy.

Assuming you don't have an EATX motherboard, you should have the standoff screw holes in the motherboard tray. You could quite easily secure, or at least sturdy the res with those.

It's just the looks of that 250 res, I imagine it would look really nice in my case :D
My motherboard is an Asus P8-P67 so yeah, there's a lot of space.

The 250 balancer comes with 2x mounting clamps, which i can mount on the motherboard tray, right?
And in that case, the 250 res wont be too big?
the 2 clamps would secure the res in place i guess

It won't be too big, no...

But, you may need to find some different screws for the clamps. The one's you get with the res I'd have thought would be big screws with bolts, whilst the case holes would be M3/M4. You'll have to see. You could get away with a single clamp anyway.

Oh sorry didn't see your post.
Can you link me to this "Bitspower D5 Upgrade Kit" +the mod kit?

Okay, but it's going to be a US retailer as I don't know any of the EU ones. This is basically for you to see what the look like and what the features are anyway, so it doesn't matter.
While you're at it, if you have the money, I would also suggest this. It basically makes the ugliness of the pump go away . Here they are in order of the colors I like (best to worst):

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the information man! I'll try to plan everything right before I buy the stuff :)
