me is back (top tip, always know where your windows disk is before building  ).

K so Ive got all me bits in the new case, temps are a bit parp though, 10 degrees for cpu (mach II ST)

I get a die imprint on the thermal head ok but Im guessing the little 2mm standoffs are preventing me making a better contact & lower temps.

anyone mounted a prommie on an abit nfs7-s ?

gonna be a right pain stripping it down again, just as well I did a rough build first..

hmm, turns out the NF7 boards are known for it, thermistor in socket means it draws heat from the board when sub zero & screws the reading.

so as a quick check, upped multi & now at 2.7 gig (prev best when water cooled with cascade was 2.55), that was first attempt so pretty sure theres more left in it :)

my temp look sh** on nf7s also but i know the cant be right coslike u now clocking much higher than on good ole h2o :)

Bryan load or idle ?

today ive done a total refit and me temps look the same.ive even tried the zip tie trick and temp still read the same .....mobo must be reading temps wrong ?

Hey McMad you have an ST right?? Are you taking the temps from hardware doctor or some thing like that or have you done the mach 2 mod and reading it from the prommies software ??

I have my ST arriving tomorrow or the next day and I have an NF7S-V2 so I will let you know what temps I get anyone else gonna post they're temps

ohh this ones been resurected ;)

Ive now got an FX system mate, waiting on GT for it.

The temps were reported of the motherboard though & it does not report -ve temps accurately at all..
