Xonar DG unrecognised

Hi,

Im using an ASUS P8Z77-V and have bought a Xonar DG for my system.

It uses PCI and I am using one of the PCI on the board.

I cant tell if it has been detected, however in device manager I have an entry:

"Multimedia Audio Controller"

I have tried the driver from the site and it says something along the lines of please install a Xonar DG with the options being retry or quit.

Any help much appreciated.

Have you installed the correct drivers before inserting the card?

The driver says I need the card installed before I can attempt to install it.

Fair enough. I take it you've installed them with the card installed then?

Have you disabled the onboard soundcard in the BIOS?

Ill try that now

Did not work, driver still will not begin. Will try removing the card later to see if the device manager entry is removed.

Anyone got the time to help me figure out how to do this? I'm a little bit confused when it comes to this.

If that is indeed a genuine fix, all you need to do is to burn the iso file to a disc, using a tool such as daemon tools lite. Then just set the BIOS to boot from CD and then this program should apparently fix it.
