XMS Project: [F40]

Have you got the TFT mounted yet mate, can't wait to see how awesome that looks. I am soooo flying back to the UK and stealing ur computer when it's done :p

BTW, you've done everything superb mate, it couldn't be a single lick cleaner at all. The cabling job is A+, the WC is A+ cleany weany, the paint job is sick, and the onboard TFT just puts it OTT :)

Gratz XMS, it's fun just to be able to tell people I've met the maker of that fine rig in person :D hehe

Chers mate, this is my longest project so far (mainly because everything has gone wrong that could go wrong).

Hopefully the plexi chould be cut ready to accept the TFT by mid next week. Only thing i'm not sure about is what to use around the cut on the plexi window? Any ideas

Hey XMS when you are finished, you should send in your pictures to a magazine such as CPU (computer power user). I am pretty sure something that sexy would land you in the magazine as well as some cash for yourself.

Cheers Glock. I think i might send it around a few places - might even pop it on CustomPC's "Readers Rigs"

tis looking good buddy, nice neat install :D

want to make sure you don't warp those fans mounting them on the rad like that... (sorry private joke) :D

any word on getting the case cut to fit the screen mate?

Dont even go there....everyone is too chicken to cut a hole in plexi, so it looks like i'll be doing it myself. Or if it comes to it, just mount it behind the plexi until i can find someone competent enough to do it.

Cut a hole with a drill then carefully use a hacksaw blade to cut it. Anything like a jogsaw will melt the plastic

Finish it with a file and glass/sandpaper

The "Old Skool" way will take a time, but it will be smooth and accurate

O o I`m off this weekend to size up a piece of ""see thru material"" for a front of a 4x pc case, that`s a work in motion atm (yes pics are being taken), I was kinda hoping to find something nice and easy to cut thru using something like a Dremel.

I was going to go straight in the d.i.y. store and head into the replacement greenhouse glass section and look for a plastic-type-glass thing.

(need about 75cm x 35cm - to be cut into 4 pieces and further cut for fan inlets and buttons/leds etc - fixing holes too)

WOW mate!!! I love the tint it looks really sexy, and the lcd behind it completes the look so well. Nice one Jim
