For this project i'm going to be decking my system out for maximum performance along with some nifty Ferrari-like features:

Silverstone TJ03 Aluminium Case in two-tone Ferrari Red + Black

Asus P5B Motherboard

Intel Core Duo X6800 ES

OCZ PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha VX2

XSPC Dual Radiator

Laing D5 Pump

1/2" Danger Den Red Tubing

2x YS-Tech 125cfm fans

2x Thermaltake Thunderblade 120mm Red Fans

2x Thermaltake Thunderblade 80mm Red Fans

Matrix Orbital MX5 with custom Aluminium Bezel

Silverstone ST60F Modular PSU - Sleeved in Red

XFX 7900GT - Watercooled

7" TFT mounted inside case :p

Project Updates in next post.....

30/07: First parts to arrive is the fans. These come with molex connectors normally so i had to solder some 3-pin cables on for the CrystalFonts fan header. I've also added fan grills and silicon gaskets to each of them...

31/07: Lush XSPC radiator came through. Installed fans and PTFE taped the barbs on. Also installed the Crystalfontz display into a 5.25" drive bay mounting kit:

02/08: Case is on its way back from KustomPC's all cut up :) - Next up is quite possibly a powder coat finish in red or dark blue

07/08: Something has happened to my case :o The panels are on their way out to be resprayed in dark red and black.

17/08: A few bits of Conroe goodness have arrived :p

26/08: Today i spent pretty much the whole day sleeving my PSU and replacign the connectors. Camera made the sleeving look slightly orange, but its deep red in real life. I also souldered 3-pin cables on all my case fans and got rid of the annoying moex connectors.

I've been told that my resprayed case will be with me on Wednesday :D

31/08: Resprayed case panels are slightly delayed and should be with me tomorrow. In the meantime i did a few small things like chaging the blue LED's on my power/hdd lights over to red..

01/09: Panels came back!! Here are a couple of teaser photo's before the full review coming up on the site in the next few days :)

16/09: After switching NB cooler, the mosfets needed some cooling...

16/09: Ordered some Genuine Ferrari stickers. These ones are used on the side of the 355 and other models. So what a better place to put them, than on the side of my case :p

03/10: Ok some of the worst pictures yet, but i couldnt wait for daylight to take these pics :p Unfortunately nobody would cut the window for me so i've resorted to a temporary solution....

I have installed "limmo black" car window tint to the Stock Silverstone window, and installed the screen behind it. Looks pretty good imo.

28/10: Got fed up with the mediocre temperatures from my water cooling setup....so i decided to ditch the radiator and install a chiller ;) Water temperature goes down to 4oc when PC off and 9oc with it on. CPU runs at around 16-18oc load and sometimes if i leave the chiller on without PC on, ice starts forming in the loop :D

mmmm performance upgrades :yumyum: I'm sure it will be sweet. Be sure to keep us updated as you progress, I love seeing everyone's projects.

Yet another fine project for/from XMS. I love it mate, you always have something new on the horizon. This by far should be the best rig of all time though even though it may not be as "big" and over the top as some of the previous systems you've built. This one will be a true powerhouse though, I can't wait.

With Conroe on the horizon even I have been thinking about keeping the cascade for the sole purpose of dominating benchmarks with a Conroe setup.

That mesh looks great. You rekon it will really help with airflow too?

Deffo mate - should be pretty close to having your side panel off.

Now for a new colour for the case.....take your pick

Gunmetal grey!!

Ye i quite liked the idea of grey - but then i thought it might look too much like a dodgy silver finish on those cheap cases u get.

nah go deep nice blue and fill the case with green uv+cathodes n all that

that would look pimptastic:)

but whatever color you go for ime sure it will look great:D

good luck, lookin sweet so far dude.

cheers.

PINK! plz go pink! After all it means your a true man

ROFL...pass

I'm actually considering going a really deep cherry red, and maybe leaving the front panel black so that cd-rom drives and other stuff don't look out of place in it.

What dya reakon guys?

My 2pence worth...

Deep cherry red, with pink stylised flames, wrapped round from the front, like a hotrod. Or have an OC3D logo masked off on the bottom front corner of the panel, so that when the cherry red goes on, it'll be left in black.

*edit*

Or something like this:
