Windows

I hate it, it is way to "smart" for its own good, it decides that since it has done updates it will give me 5 minutes to tell it not to restart otherwise it will. Well I have had enough of it I am uninstalling every program under Windows except for games.

Just so I don't have to hear it, I know I can disable automatic updates but I shouldn't have to.

Yeah I know what you mean. The first thing I do after installing Windows is disable any feature that has "think for its self" abilities.

I'm also the kind of person who disables the recycle bin, because I believe that if i'm stupid enough to delete files in the first place, then I don't deserve the ability to get them back.

I should disable it all but tbh I don't think it is worth the time. Also why does it need to be restarted, in the Linux kernel they are working on a way to do kernel upgrades without restarting now if Microsoft wanted to they could do the same thing.

Quickest way is to set recycler to use 0% of u`r drives.

Ya, but why is it called the recycling bin not trash or rubbish, what do they recycle it into? Also I can't run no swap you have to have at least 2MB for what?

Sorry as you can tell I am in a really bad mood, hence the rant.

U can rename it if u like, I can`t remember how it`s done, but u can call it CHOCOLATE_TEAPOT if ya want hehe. Or delete it`s link altogether.

2mb *I think* is the size of the header for the pagefile. Logic would dictate that if u had a zero sized file, win would understand u not needing one, but hey m$ knows best. (sounded good atleast)

Yeah, agreed on the restarts. How do they ever think that Windows could be a serious contender for servers if they need to be restarted when updates are released.

I've never done a single windows update on my home pc. I just wait for the service packs, streamline them into my windows CD and then perform a full reinstall.
