I think Tom meant in post 165 a little OVER isn't acceptable. Never in the original rules did it say exact 750 and the example entry wasn't even exact 750

WOOOOOOOO neddy. Upto £750

Under is fine, over isnt, wrong links isnt, no prices at the end isnt. Chill out boys jesus.

The quoted post by Tom was in reply to one above it where somebody didn't state their builds total cost. He was saying that including the total cost of parts is required not that everyone needs a list of components that totals £750 exactly.

As G-sus says, the test entry clearly doesn't have a total of exactly £750, the rules don't state it either and i'd imagine it would be pretty damn hard to do anyway!

E: beaten by the man himself!

I mean the test entry, where he shows how it's supposed to looks like, there was an exact price of all the components, so it's pretty clear you have to do the same.

You must have a different test entry to me then.

Wrong. £750 MAX. Stop fucking arguing you lot will you or Ill disqualify you all for ruining the thread

This is why we can't have nice things! D'8

The main reason why we can't have nice things is that we don't work our arse off for it, not cause we don't win a competition that all we have to do is write a bunch of lines and paste a couple of links. Stop complaining about this like it's an issue with your salary and you're not getting paid well enough this month.

What is everybody's problem. This is a competition, so stop with the negative posts and stop bickering.
Good luck to everyone who entered.

All is good. Being disqualified for not following the rules would be my own fault. We were provided with the right information. I suspect I never followed the design concept, so my entry is invalid. All is still good in the world.

lol clearly I was misunderstood... W/E, backing out of what has unfortunately become a kind of volatile thread :-\. A shame, really.

I don't mean to be an ass or anything, but there's nothing in the rules that mentions anything about being exact.

OMG! Dude, you started a mess and every other one followed.

The statement you quoted means in plain English the declaration of the total cost must not be in the form of "a little under £750" or "close to £750" but the exact amount it costs. e.g. "£745.10". You misunderstood that the total build cost must be exact £750, and no, it's not the case.

Most of us if not all wrote it the correct way including you... I'm heading over to YT, much less stress and stressers!
