That should work just fine, you could go with a better AGP graphics card, but you're better off just getting a replacement like that one until you decide to upgrade.

Think there`s 6800s for about £45 and then 7600s for about £70.

Dunno anything about how good 9600/9800 whatever.

The 9800 is ok.. for a few years ago.. it play CS:S on medium.. the 9600 cant do new games..

Ide go for a 7600 not too expensive.. even a 6800 is a big improvement..

For £40 you could easily get a 8400gs/2400pro from someone like ebuyer or overclockers.co.uk

Would still have better performance then the last gens low end card.

You could easily get an X1650 Pro on your budget, for AGP. That's a much better option, the 9600 is not a very useful card for today's applications.
