Will this improve my temps?

Hi I got the H100i last week and my temps are only about 2 -3 degrees below intel stock cooler and I am also getting weird temperature jumps, like from 27 to 18 and in prime 95 i was at 55 and when I stopped jumped down to 25.
Can this be because when I was installing it the protector fell off the bottom and the thermal paste got abit messy. Could this be the reason?
Also I have just got some MX4 Thermal Paste and Acetone to remove all the old one. Do you think this would help the temps?

Re-apply the thermal paste, it should fix your issues. The temps should be WAY better than the Intel cooler.

i'd say try re applying the thermal paste for sure. an air bubble could be trapped in the middle of the messed up thermal paste

my temps are 21 - 25 idle is that okay for a H100i?

Yup, 100% normal. It's the load temperatures that matter though.
