Why no boot logo for Vista?

I have always been curious to know why M$ did not include a Window$ logo on their Vi$ta boot screen? I know that they have an alternate boot screen that can be enabled, but still.... Just never made any sense to me, it looks so tacky and unfinished. What was I was loading again? Oh yeah, Vi$ta....

I always did miss my boot logo when booting :)

Vista IS finished, they just decided to call it Windows 7 instead :p

Being slightly serious.....

What it's probably down to is that all the windows' dos loading screens are inherently the same thing since.. well the 1st windows that had them. They're a 8 bit color variation of the screensaver idea. Loading color bar and so on.

U can get tools that will allow u to customize these.

Their theory maybe that with the Vista logo popping up after it, and the lower booting times (if u got the good hardware), the pre-loading screen only needs to be basic.

Short answer - the Vista logo doesn't look good in 8 bit. (even tho Leopard's can be done in 2/4 bit)
