Which HDD?

Hi,
My mate's wanting a HDD for extra space for storage and possibly programs. He has a Crucial M4 already.

It has to be around 500gb, but obviously if it's £5 more for 1TB he'll do that.

He has a Prodigy, so I personally think it would be better to have a quieter 2.5inch drive so he could fit both the SSD and the HDD into the side panel if he ever wanted to remove all HDD bays for whatever reason - but this isn't essential.

What would you guys recommend?

you see the difference in price is quite substantial in 2.5inch (about £20)

I like the idea of putting it into the sidepanel, but 1tb 2,5" HDDs are very expensive.

Hitachi Travelstar 5K1000 - 1000GB - SATA 6Gb/s would be a option .. but it has just 8 mb cache and 5400 rpm .. (2,5" ~ £40)

Western Digital Caviar Black - 1000GB - SATA 6Gb/s 64mb cache 7200 rpm £65 (3,5" ~ £65)
