which corsair fans?

hi guys :)
ive got a zalman z9 plus and the stock fans are annoying me ( to loud and clicking). i got a 120mm corsair af120 quiet edition about 2 weeks ago and ive decided that its quiet enough for me while still performing well. im thinking of replacing all of the fans with corsair one but im unsure whether to get the af or sp in the front and bottom. both are dust filtered and the front fan has 2 hard drives blocking most of the airflow so i was thinking the sp would be better due to having to push the air through the mesh then dust filters then the hdd cage.

any advice would be great guys :)

I'd probably just say SP. You can then use them if you ever get a radiator of any sort, and I really dont think it'll make that much difference.
When you say your current fans are clicking? Are you using a fan controller? is so which?

for the front and the bottom? the one in the roof is running off the built in fan controller. one in the front is running off the mobo set at 60% speed in the msi bios and the floor fan in at 12v via molex (complicated i know)

They're probably clicking due to the motherboard and fan controller.

On the new ones, make sure you run them through molex.
I'd go AF in the floor, SP in the front - if I was really being anal about it. Bit I dont really think it'd make a lot of difference, so I'd probably get the dual pack of SPs to save money

sorry to hijack the thread but I am in a similar position with my fractal r3. Want to put 2 fans in the front but not sure what ones to order. I thought the AF ones would be better but after reading this I think I my go for the SP ones.

Ordered the SP's in the end. Cant wait to put them in my case. Should up my airflow loads and should still be pretty quiet.

the SP will be benefical due to the pressure of the air-flow to pass through
some complicated HDD cages and having to breathe through a dust filter.
using the AF will be ok, but your GPU (if air cooled) suffer.
