Which controller will work????

When I put my PC together i bought an NZXT Sentry Mix to mainly control my noctua NFF-12's for my radiator. Problem is I never got the dang thing to work with the fans. The controller would never power the fans.

I tried for 2 months to get the thing RMA but no one at the warehouse or W.E would help me out.

Does anyone use a fan controller on the NFF-12's, if so which one?

Heard from JamesRiley that NF-F12s won't power on when they're at 5volt or under. Try booting your PC with the fans at max speed and then turn them back?

Yep - I've had 3 of my own, none of them have powered on at 5v...

Should be different from a fan controller though? I'd assume you did try to put it up slightly, rather than just leave it at the lowest level?

Hmmm... Maybe he had too many fans hooked up to the same channel?

well it has been awhile but I believe I had the 2 fans on one channel and I tried full power half and all the way down. non of them worked at all, the fans would like shutter a little but nothing more. I believe I did try them on separate channels but I do not remember. I will try powering it off putting it at full power and seeing if that helps. If not then I will separate them and see if that helps...

Well i just tried running them on separate channels and no luck. I had to reach down and use my finger to start it.... I do know that the connectors on the Noctua are 4 pins and the fan controller only has 2 pins. I do not know what the all the wires are on the 4 pin I just know I am only using 2.

Do all fan controllers only use 2 wires?

Fan controller is most likely dead. Besides better off running on molex anyway.

Apologies, I was not thinking.

Has anyone used the Sentry Mix 2. I do agree that the molex is better but at certain times I would like to turn them down or be able to control them.
