Which case would you use?

Thinking of going to a massive case and I am wondering which case would you all prefer.... Corsair Obsidian 800d or the the Cosmos II?

I will be moving up to water cooling so minimal airflow will be needed for cooling. Both cases are amazing in my eyes but alas I can't decide

Thanks for posting, if you do.

If you can afford a Cosmos go for it, it's one hell of a case. If you decide it's too expensive, an NZXT Switch 810 is your best bet. I'd avoid the 800D.

700D imo as i love how clean the 700D/800D are, unless you realy need the hot swap drive bays its not worth the extra cost for the 800D in my eyes, and the cosmos 2 is... meh to me.

If you like getting a little dirty and doing some modding the Cosmos S is fairly cheap in comparison to the cases you said if you can find one (scan in the UK have some still). Its old and needs a little work to make it look lush but 45mm triple in the roof + 45-80mm triple in the drive bays (limits you for hdd/disk drive choices) or fat double rad (more options for mounting drives).

Yeah I really like the 800D, like I Hunta said, I would go for the 700D instead, but they are literally impossible to buy!

I would say out of the 2 go for the Cosmos II, its a brilliant case, even if a bit on the expensive side. However I do like the 700/800D cases and are also amazing in terms of water cooling options. If you want a cheaper option my vote would be with the NZXT Switch 810 a cheaper alternative but would be great for watercooling aswell.

In all of the above, you could make a very tidy watercooled rig without to much hassle.

I think Tom is doing a build in a Cosmos II using all Koolance gear, CPU/Motherboard/Graphics etc, it might be worth holding out to see how that works out before buying.

I possess a Corsair 800D and I'm pretty happy. But I think there are better alternatives depending on what you plan to do with your case. To devote himself to watercooling is an excellent choice but to use air cooling I'm not sure this is the best option. He did not much airflow with the stock fans and even changing the design of the case should not much help achieve a better result.

I think I will certainly look better case having an air flow better designed. Ideas?

I have looked into all the mentioned cases and most I can't get here

I did find the TJ-07 but it looks like it wont hold a 360 rad in the top, have to see the options for water in a few vids if I can find them.

The 700D I would really like but, 1.can't find it and 2.shipping from UK to US would be a killer, but maybe.

The NZXT isn't a bad case but the looks throw me off, guess I am picky.

The Shinobi XL is a nice one also but if I do go to CPU, GPU, NB water loop, I want to fit a good size 360 in the top. Would a 45mm be large enough or would I need to drop an extra rad in the front? Will have to research that a bit more.

Currently with the Antec 902 I don't really have an air flow problem, as it is a very good case for air cooling IMO. Just looking towards the future and these cases that are coming out should be a good investment towards not needing one for a very long time.

Thanks for the replies =)
