Now look, I'm needing to get a bunch of pressie things for this event that just will-not go away.

Being as there are a large amount of ~17, ~12, ~20-25, year old patrons here, what is it that ur looking for Mr Claus to be dropping off for u on his travels ?

Let's bear in mind also that we don't want to break the bank here either, I have around 9 pressies to get for these age groups ! hehe

Oh and, by no means pc enthusiasts either ... hmm why am I asking u guys :p

(just to clarify, the easy things are obvious, bar of soap and orange hehe, let's think of different things)

Woah, I thought you were asking what we were getting for Christmas.

I apologize. :p

What is it exactly for? Just small Christmas presents?

hehe yeah. But we're talking something ur uncle would get u, strictly speaking ;)

Oh includes girlfriends too, if there's any chicks reading.

Uni Textbooks, they have cost me my savings :(

But on a serious note DVD boxsets are always good fun, as are good books [big hardback ones like the BBC make to accompany planet earth etc]. I don't complain about HMV vouchers and the like, although might as well just give them money if you're going to do that. Could buy clothes but it's always a risk, I've had a few that were never-wears over the years. Whisky gift sets or Aftershave gift sets are also pretty good.

Happy shopping! :)

Iwants

New fish tank (possibly trigon 190)

New chair (kneeling chair?)

Tv for ps3 in room (32" something or other)

Not much cash left after that :p

umm a bottle of Jack Daniels is a great christmas present... Last year my sister bought me a zippo lighter and honestly its gotta be the best present anyones got me, hardly left my side for the last 11 months! Those are pretty much my only gift ideas, maybe music or dvd's?

Gift cards are pretty much the safest bet. Only problem is then they'd be restricted to that particular store. Visa gift cards perhaps?

Going on Holiday to Egypt for 2 weeks over Xmas... but I want to have some Family nights in with food and a nice tipple over some board games.. can get better than that.. (before I go on Holiday mind).

I find it quite hard buying for people tbh...

If you don't know what they like then the usual Aftershave/Perfume sets, Booze or vouchers is the easiest bet, but I find them a bit boring. Whenever I receive the above, it's 'ahh thanks' present, than a 'WOW!' present.

Also, if they are into anything in particular, they normally have everything they need for it...

Do you know what any of them are into TV, music wise?

It is hard isn't it. The whole christmas thing is totally screwed up in so much as hardly any1 "needs" anything, and the days of a 'nice tie' doesn't always cut it.

Myself, I'm told I'm an absolute swine to get for. Asked what I 'need' - nothing. What I want... a few days off work, give gifts out (mostly to get it out of the way).. eat loads of very nice food & wine.. sleep for 4 hours, watch morcombe & wise/ 2 ronnies, go back to sleep. Then the next few days visiting, then a free day.

I'd be happy not getting any presents, but what I do get I always appreciate as (being such a hard person to get for) there's usually some imagination it there. Points scored for the family in that sense I guess. I've always appreciated even an aunt getting me a Brute gift set (even tho it's an aged formula) - it's the thought etc etc etc

Really haven't got the attention span to scour online shops for things to get 'cos u have to' and no real sense of imagination. Again, really, I don't know too many people who 'need'. Some of the older ones I have a clue or 3.

However, I appreciate the census here, lots of things I kinda thought I'd end up getting. Have had an idea or 2 for a few others, so it's been a valid exercise :)

Many thanks for the submissions, would love to hear more if any1 thinks of anything out of the ordinary hehe.

Music/dvd/so on, I kinda know what they all like, but we are too much in the digital age of when some1 wants something, they've got it or seen it. iTunes may be a fair thing thinking along the digital lines, I think most of the family have a pod of some description.

Yeah, lets here some more ;)

Nice simple, but cool gift for that sort of age group-Alarm Clock

I'll double on that one, I'm hoping that someone will get me an alarm clock at Christmas so I can stop wasting half of my life staying up till early hours in the morning and waking up past 12AM. :p
