Does the noise of a mechanical keyboard do your nut in though? Its the only thing that ever stopped me from purchasing one. Currently being on a tight budget I am using a Gigabyte keyboard which to me for £12!! is amazingly fine and fit for purpose.

The noise of the Razer BlackWidow with Cherry MX blues are noisy and did annoy me a bit when gaming but the MX Reds/Blacks sound very soothing

Also you can get silent keys, such as on the BlackWidow Stealth
