What the Gameboy Advanced really was able to do

Wow, this is a video of a piece of software running from a GBA(Gameboy Advanced).

Shows what the console was really capable of. Shame it wasn't taken advantage of.

Video.

I am quite impressed. :)

Nice one, thats pretty decent considering it came out in 2000..ish. Runs off AA batteries and manages to spank the ps1.

I miss my classic gameboy now! And poke'mon red

Made me want to play MGS on the PC...

Running round with the invisibility suite is some of the most fun ive had in a game:)

lol, it does look very MGS.

I was blown away by it.. me having a GBA when I was young and I just grabbed it out the loft.

But I never ever saw a game with Graphics like that on it.

Pokemon FTW! :D

wow, i didnt think it was quite that powerful, and all this time, its just been rendering such things as pokemon LOL

The people who made this must have pretty boring minds, creating software for some hardware that no one even uses anymore and hasnt done for the last 5 years or more.

Look at the date in the writing on the video... 2002, one year after the release of the GBA I think. :)

That is the starting bit on MGS1 isn't it. If not it's DAMN similar. Now remembering that game, it was awesome. Loved hiding in the box n stuff :p

Always wanted to know. When I played MGS on the Playstation, there was a mind control boss that u could only defeat if u changed the port ur controller was plugged into. (theory being he took control of the other one)

How did the PC get around that ?

Not overly impressed by the footage, seen massively impressive things done with ancient kit that machines (or more like the programmers of) struggle to come to terms with today.

The controls on the keyboard changed form like wsad to move to uhjk or something on the PC iirc.

Wasn't that the psychic guy? That game had some of the best boss battles ever...

It's the only MGS I played and it was good! Never played any of the others though, the gfx look good but I wonder if the gameplay got dumbed down?

The guy you guys are thinking of was Psycho Mantis. Level 6 boss i believe before you get the level 7 card key. MGS was an extremely fun game..

Loved hiding in the box n stuff
"Huh? What was that?"

".....Whats with the box?"

*Kicks it over and sees you....* !

*Me runs* ahahaha I loved that game

And, im still playing Pokemon. Im about to beat Ranger on the DS and im also playing Pokemon Yellow on my SP in between posts.
