What PDA to get?

How did you upgrade and how are you finding it in comparison to the bundled os?

I don't really use it that much tbh :)

The main reason why I upgraded tho was for VGA support as the older was only QVGA :(

I upgraded a few months after I bought it I think. Was ages ago aswell :) I was thinking of selling it, not sure how much I'd get for it tho.

Gah u cudda sold it to me ;)

Isn`t the O2 Xda made by i-mate ? (also available in the uk under Qtec)

Can`t find a good contractor that`ll supply me a nice i-mate sp5m (UK = Qtec 8310) :( T-Mobile in the US will, but their crappy UK counterparts are only supplying "fashionable" mobiles.

Meh..

In all honesty, there were some minor and major changes between the two, but WM5 is purely an evolution of 2003. The differences between my X5 (WM 2003 SE) and X51 (WM5) are mainly cosmetic.

* WM5 menu rocks better than 2003 SE

* native support for wifi in WM5

* memory structure is changed so that information isn't lost if battery dies (WM5), although my X5 has a backup battery. WM5 has persistent storage and new memory handling and WM5 has increased compatibility with MS Smartphone apps.

* App support for WM5 is getting better, but pretty well anything runs on 2003. Installing software from a .cab can sometimes be a little flunky.

* Activesync 4.1 or above is required for WM5, where 3.8 was the best imho

I'll add a few others shortly, but I'd suggest staying with 2003SE personally.
