Was thinking of going a bit custom with the tower, so I was curious.. Which paint to people think is the best, or which do they prefere?

I haven't painted one for about 11 years, at the time I was far too young to know what I was doing, and it didnt return the best results.

Obviously that won't happen this time haha..

I've seen most people in the states tend do use restoleum all surface: Here Nevermind the color, was just the first link that came up in google.

Sadly I dont have an air brush to use, they dont seem to have any "can" versions available, or at least not that I can find. Though they do look very high quality in their product.

HOK FTW.

However if you are in the USA you can use Kustom Shop.

Their paint is almost as good as HOK (their clear isn't as clear but hey, it costs about 1/4) and they do all of the custom paints and pearls that HOK do.

You can get a cheap gun from Harborfreight tools.

I sprayed two cars with those. Believe the hype, they're as good as any. So cheap were they I didn't even bother cleaning them I just bought three on both occasions

Sand blaster.

And you can get a decent cheap compressor from Big Lots if you have those near you

Oh heck dude. Get on it man. Krylon do some good enamels out there, but nothing, nothing beats the real thang.

I painted an entire Hyundai Tiburon using KS holographic flakes for $210 lol. Something nuts like 8 quarts of clear and all of the flakes, reducers and so on

Tom, you'd be the expert on this.

Is there any special guidelines to painting galvanised?

My brother in law used to have a wicked Chevy truck. He had the tailgate blanked and put in corvette rear lights but the paint all peeled. Something about using the wrong paint on galvanized IIRC.

Etch primer, but then normal primer over the top so the colour doesnt react with the acid base. All in one stuff is crap so its deffo better to go the two stage route.
