What made you LOL today?

Always been a fan of Gervais(Especially the podcasts/radio stuff), but I do find it kinda cringe how he now spends half his stage time talking about how offensive he is, then delivers lukewarm jokes that even the celebs at the butt of the joke don't get offended by, then spends some more time cackling to himself, then starts talking about how he doesn't care if anyone's offended by his fairly light humour. It seems like he's become a bit of a "My first dark humour" starter kit now with his constant need to explain his jokes and how offensive they must be (to who?)

In the words of Frankie Boyle "I don't need Ricky Gervais to tell me God doesn't exist when I've seen Derek get recommissioned twice."

You've obviously not seen how much crap he gets on Twitter.

ive been a huge fan of Gervais for his affinity to animals especially Dogs. What he does to try and save them and end the asian festivals amazes me.

Hes also pretty damn funny. Especially his take on religion. :D

Nahhh he literally searches his own name in the Twitter search tool to find people talking about him, it's not like he even gets sent most of the abuse lol, he's legit usually the one getting most offended at someone's opinion there. If he really didn't care why does he spend so much time trying to find little people talking about him when he's got so much money, I find that obsession he has with trying to dig out people who don't find him funny online(and his jump to a conclusion this must be because they're offended) really cringe too, it really doesn't scream "I don't care" like he constantly tries to tell us lol. (it is kinda funny how desperate he is with that stuff now tho)

It's at the point where people just wanting to talk about his work have to type "R*cky G*rvais" so he doesn't appear randomly and get upset at them Twitter, gone crazy in his old age imo.

(if anyone likes cringe humour though, which ironically is unintentionally the main source of humour I get from him now, Extra's and UK Office are arguably the staples of the genre.)

He's a comedy legend IMO.
I agree on that bit, but mostly because of his pioneering of the mockumentary with Stephen Merchant, and his pioneering of the podcast with SM + Karl Pilkington (And ofc the animated series that spawned from it), but his stand up & recent stuff just doesn't gel with me much.

The penny just dropped for this Brexit Party MEP,
If only someone had thought of this Big Question?

...if only we had some way of electing representatives to this parliament that will dictate the environment that surrounds our nation and the rules of our largest trading partners lol.

That is quite a face palm moment there.

Saw this on Kit guru. Made me chuckle.

Plague inc developers had to release news to remind people it was just a game and not a real life model given the outbreak of the Corona virus.

But what made me laugh is this...

They did a programme on Tv where they had people living in a house naked, and at the end they did a test of eye tracking, and we instinctively look at a woman and measure her up as a future mate to make babies, and women do the same when they see a man. so there'd have to be an evolutionary change to stop men and women doing it

Certain lunatics on the far left who hate Men and Women getting married, Having a child and bringing that child up in a stable household have been trying to engineer western society for a few decades now, 1 of these things being "Men shouldn't look at Women" sounds nuts but just look at how many children now come from either broken homes or single parent households which does lead to problems later on in society and how many Men are scorned for simply looking at Women.

Yes I agree, the reason why we have lots of single parents is clearly because of all those lefties with ultra-conservative views on sex and marriage, and despite "Thou shalt not covet" literally being one of the ten commandments(With direct reference to women in the bible/torah), the vilification of sexual attraction is definitely a new problem within society that we can link to the very recent phenomena of high rates of single parenting.

It's crazy really. In the last 20 years all they've done is smash on about there being no god and how we should be able to shag around and etc. Totally removing any morals and making people just, well, slags. I was with this girl once who'd lost count.

Really? Is it worth that little to you?

We didn't last long.

I can't tell if your comment is meant to be sarcastic too Alien.

Most people who become single parents do so at an average age of 39, are usually from a long term relationships (In 90% of UK cases it's the dad who has "ran away") and are x2 more likely to be from mums who have just given birth to a disabled child. There's no link to teenage promiscuity, which was actually much higher amongst the generations of people born between the 1920's and 1950s.

Was all teenagers where I grew up. Free council flat innit?

Then a mixture of children from numerous failed relationships.

I wasn't being sarcastic btw. I'm big on morals, trying to be a decent person with self respect and family values.
