What Graphics Card to get!?

Hi Guys,

Pretty much as per topic.

I am looking at 560/70s and 6950/70s.. Max price £230~.. I want it to be able to play BF3 when it comes out at near head end settings. My screen res is 1680x1050, with maybe upgrading in the future to a higher resolution.

I have a 2500K @ 4.3GHz and an ASRock Extreme3 Gen3.

If it was me I'd try and cough up the money for a 570, but I believe that the extra memory on the AMD cards would help for higher resolution/ multiple monitors.

Getting mixed responses here. The 6950's I've been looking at have twice the amount of RAM and better core clocks.. sooo... I dunno.

Im in the same boat as you mate. Remember that Nvidia gave the creators of BF3 all the hardware they needed and said build the game around this. So they did. I'v gone for a GTX 570. Cant wait.

Wasn't it optimized for AMD BD 8 cores? I haven't heard anything about it being optimized for AMD GPUs.
