The new GeForce Game Ready 368.81 WHQL Virtual Reality drivers are optimised for Everest VR, NVIDIA VR Funhouse, Obduction, Raw Data, and The Assembly, five new Virtual Reality games launching this month for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Also contained within are fixes for the HTC Vive DisplayPort incompatibility, and Oculus Rift GPU Boost issues that have affected some users. To download and install, simply fire up GeForce Experience and click the "Drivers" tab.

If you're unfamiliar with Game Ready drivers, the long-running program delivers the best possible experience on the day of a game's release by optimising performance and latency, which is especially important for smooth, stutter-free VR gameplay, and by rectifying other immersion and gameplay-ruining issues. Game Ready drivers are exhaustively tested in the cited "Game Ready" titles, and the results shared with developers so they can further optimize their games and deploy client-side updates to fix identified issues. In addition, each driver is certified by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs, ensuring high-quality, end-to-end hardware experiences for our gamers, and for users who only upgrade drivers through Windows Update.

With GeForce Game Ready drivers you'll always receive an excellent experience the second a "Game Ready" game is released. Our developers, engineers and testers around the world are always on the case, so whenever a big new game is released, be sure to check GeForce.com or GeForce Experience for a new driver that'll improve your experience.

Game Ready For NVIDIA VR Funhouse

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, step right up and enter the NVIDIA VR Funhouse! What you are about to experience is NVIDIA’s first ever video game, one that delivers an immersive virtual reality experience like no other. The VR Funhouse is free to enter, features seven different carnival games, and challenges you to best the scores of friends and family. It's loaded with bleeding-edge NVIDIA GameWorks visual effects, and utilizes NVIDIA VRWorks' Multi-Res Shading and VR SLI techniques to maximize performance and image quality. Download now for free.

Each VR Funhouse minigame exemplifies how VR experiences can be made more immersive when advanced graphics, haptics, and realistic physics are added to the mix. And of course, they’re a whole lot of fun, but don’t just take our word for it - as Stuff Magazine’s Esat Dedezade proclaimed, “I just played the most advanced virtual reality game ever made, and it was brilliant”.

Game Ready For Raw Data

Survios' Raw Data is one of the most anticipated VR games for HTC Vive users, delivering high-octane action in single-player and online co-op modes. It features fast, fun, meaty weapon and melee combat; has a range of special abilities that enable exciting possibilities; makes fantastic use of the teleportation movement mechanic; and looks great.

To help bring their vision for Raw Data to life, Survios has employed NVIDIA VRWorks’ Multi-Res Shading to increase framerates by up to 30%. With this significant performance improvement Survios were able to maximize the quality of particles, high-resolution textures, lighting effects and post-process effects, and give lower-spec machines a faster, more detailed experience than they would otherwise receive.

Game Ready For Obduction

If you like adventure games and puzzles you'll love Obduction, a new Virtual Reality and desktop-bound real-time adventure-puzzler from the minds behind Myst and Riven. Built in Unreal Engine 4, Obduction presents remarkable landscapes, architecture, and environments that surpass anything you've seen before in adventure games.

Obduction, like NVIDIA VR Funhouse and Raw Data, supports NVIDIA VRWorks' Multi-Res Shading for improved performance, enabling the rendering of more detailed environments that enhance the player's sense of immersion and presence. Learn much more in the video embedded above.

Game Ready For Everest VR

Developed by Iceland’s Sólfar Studios, Everest VR is one of the most powerful demonstrations of the capabilities of modern Virtual Reality, enabling players to explore and climb a near-perfect recreation of Everest without leaving the safety of their home. In collaboration with FX studio RVX, who worked on the Everest movie, the infamous, eponymous Mount Everest is recreated with extraordinary attention to detail thanks to Photogrammetry. This technique required hundreds of thousands of high resolution photos to be taken on-site at Everest, before having them converted into a digital recreation of the mountain using a 6-GPU GeForce GTX TITAN X supercomputer. The result is a photo-realistic recreation of the world’s highest mountain that you can safely explore in VR.

In addition to supporting NVIDIA VRWorks' Multi-Res Shading for improved performance, Everest VR makes fantastic use of NVIDIA Turbulence, enabling snow particles to move and interact with the world accurately and realistically, further enhancing visual fidelity and immersion.

Game Ready For The Assembly

The Assembly is a first-person interactive drama for mature audiences, created from the ground up for virtual reality headsets. An experience with two sides to everything, where the truth is never clear, and a question is always left open: when does the end justify the means? Play as two individuals – each with their own motivations – and discover the mysteries of the Assembly’s facility through contrasting perspectives. Make tough decisions, overcome trials and shake the foundations of this enigmatic collective. Will your actions and their future repercussions save lives, or lead to catastrophe?

If The Assembly looks and sounds like something you'll want to experience, make sure to grab our new Virtual Reality Game Ready driver for an optimized experience.

Ansel Support

Supports the new Ansel technology now available in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which allows you to compose your shots from any angle, capture in 2D, 360° and adjust with post-process filters.
