it was only £5 more it will be quieter and cooler and hopefully it isnt voltage tweak limited like the stock one

and id be happy with 900 but im not sure if it will do that till i get my filthy mits on it 2moro

I've added an i7 930 @ 3.4GHz (Was folding at 4.2GHz, but it's too damn hot) and a GTS 250 to the mix.

Yea indeed,

i was buying my PSU and thought it might be better to (at the end) get 3x GTX460 in regards to power consumption,

i am pretty sure this end electricity bill is going to be nice again...

a well already saved up for that so basically no worries

Not sure about the newest ATI cards but the older X2's would on run one core only because the cores were hard linked where as the nvidia x2's could be separated into 2 independent GPUs.

Also be sure to run GPU2 on the GTX280's as GPU3 doesn't perform well on GTX2xx series cards.

GPU 3 seems alright, so I'll have to see if there's much difference between them for me (I have been folding on my own for a few days with GPU2 and just spent a while getting 3 set up just so). The Ati client is lacking, oh well.

I've got a 9800GT running in a x4 slot (I've had to rig a fan ontop of the 280 as its stock fan is knackered), so hopefully that will kick a few more points in. I think the Ati card is also objecting as I run eyefinity, so its asking for even more problems. One card on my main machine is enough tho.
