Condolences Tony as well.
yesterday was a bit of a killer for me (and continues). Get up, straight into revision (collections at the start if every term), listen to a bit of the old itunes to help. Computer gets all laggy and freezes/unfreezes after a minute. PITA. OK so, run a quick defrag, minor fragmentation on the boot disk, all fixed.
Then the Nvidia driver starts to die, BSODs everywhere...OK so run driver cleaner and do a bit of spring cleaning...now the thing won't even boot apart from in safemode...
After a few hours of frustration and reinstalling drivers etc it finally boots...then decides it won't stay stable.
So now I'm back down at stock settings, a mere 3.2GHz, and 1280Mhz on the Ram with the voltages down to stock.
And because it took so long, I'm now doing all the work I planned to do overnight (gotta love carbonyl chemistry)...and procrastinating to avoid doing it.
