I am having some serious problems with one of my PC.
The troublesome PC configuration is as follow:
XPC SD31P, Pentium D945 3.4GHz, 2Gb of RAM, 250Gb SATA HD, 7800GT video card and a new 400W PSU.
A couple of weeks ago my PC started to emitt repeated beeps and shutted down right after. So I decided to change the PSU and it seemed tohave fix the problem and the PC was running fine until today.
When I switched the PC on in the evening, first it didn't start anything... pressed the reset button and PC posted, passed the BIOS screen but then got an error message telling me that there was no system disk!
Switched the PC off and on again and same problem... no system disk!
So after I switched the PC off I also switched off the PSU and unplugged the AC. After 2 or 3 minutes plugged it back, switched on and then PC started normally.
But after 10 minutes of playing a video the HDD light remained illuminated but couldn't hear the HDD doing anything and PC froze.
Powered down and restarted, checked the system and did some system est in everest, HD benchmark, memory benchmar etc... and everything look ok.
So I started playing another video and again after 5 to 10 minutes video hung and PC froze...
Any idea where I should look into? I was able to play video yesterday without any trouble...
Could it be hardware failure of some sort?
The temps are as follow:
CPU: 48C
HDD: 52C
GPU: 56C
System: 54C
TIA
