This is just a heads up for those of you using these blocks, I found on a mates system that after approx 6 months of use the O-rings started to perish.

He has not replaced them yet but may need to do so in the near future

Please report back here if you have the same blocks and if you have the same problem.....

As this may be an issue for DD to sort out

Nice find - even better pics.

Interestign that theya re going that way - I thought they were all just standard nitrile o-rings which is plenty resistant to normal antifreeze.

Might I suggest Viton or urethane o-rings as a more resistant o-ring material - I work in chemical process industry and these are the better materials for a broader compatability range.

Cheers

That is odd, I've never seen this happen to o-rings on computer components - only ever on products which are in harsh environments or left for long periods of time.

There was no additives in the water to begin with it was just straight distilled water which makes it even stranger :O

just another heads up...

had my loop apart, and found mine have gone too :/ ... so ive taken em off and replaced the ptfe... so its not water thats the problem... must be the air / the material :s
