voltage

thank you thestepster.have 1.52v in bios now,but cpu-z is reading 1.248.

its a puzzle, why the volts in cpu-z wont go any higher.

yeah dont stick that much volts through ur cpu mate, if u cant get it stable @ 4.2 with all volts up to that it means ur cpu's at its limit

well you have LLC enabled so no Vdroop should happen.

so trust the BIOS only it will be a problem with CPUz

download Coretemp and makesure you have the latest HWmonitor and CPUz

and use msi afterburner for ur gpu temps and clocks

yeah mate set it back to stock and then work ur way up and see if u can get an oc on it but mate dont go over 1.35v cause u might have temp issues from there but if u dont get temp issues try it a little higher but not much mate

have coretemp 0.99.8 and cpu-z 1.55.

maybe ill try realtemp now.

also using msi aftb 2.0.0

coretemp had some funny readings at my crosshair IV and p2 1090t ,even at stockspeed.

yeah i wouldnt even bother with coretemp mate stick with realtemp and afterburner for temps

did a mistake of vtt and corevolts.hmmm what a newbie i am!!

made a prime95 stresstest at 4.2ghz,1.304v and survived

71 67 69 66 celsius

i am very happy using noctua nh-d14

but if it passes thats a nice clock and volts fella and temps.

you might be able to go a lil higher if it pases linX
