name='vengeance' said:In case anyone would like oc'ing their mice using qute more advanced yet easy way, google for hidusbf(USB Mouse Rate Adjuster by SweetLow). No need to copy/paste anything, no restart required typically, and most important imo, that this approach affects only mouse, so other usb devices operate @ default frequency, unless you deliberately put them in list. And don't let the fact that developer and most of concernining topics are in russian, there's complete english guide included with the program. Get it here. Don't forget to check for viruses though. xD

I have Vista Ultimate x64. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried replacing the usbport files again both 500 and 1000 Hz but had to go back to the old usbport file. Maybe the Tweaked files need to be updated?

* Update for Windows Vista (KB938979)
* Update for Windows Vista (KB932596)

anyone who knows a workaround?
name='ouchxy' said:You just have to turn off the "install updates automatically" feature in Windows Update settings .. try to select any other optionAnd then, when windows asks you to confirm next update, click [ manual install ] or something like that, then uncheck those unwanted updates and click ok. There may be some checkbox like "never ask me again to install this updates" or st. But I'm not sure.
Anyway ... In my case - i removed unwanted updates, replaced of the old usbport.sys with the new one, but i was still stuck at 125Hz update rate - using my old Logitech MX 700.
After all that failing attempts i was so angry, so that I bought the new Logi G5 and right now I'm moving my cursor @500Hz
So.. Already tried all posibilites? Still no luck? It's not necessarily in between of your chair and keyboard, it may be your mouse...
