I've got a DDR1 ram kit that should be able to easily do around 350Mhz on air, problem is that i've not found a 939CPU that can handle them speeds yet, have got it to 325Mhz, but it didn't look like it was the ram that was unstable, more the memory controller or the CPU. I've already got a lot of old hardware as that's what i originally bought when i had next to no money at all. Got a shed load of Socket A/462 CPU's for £5 and got hold of a NF7 for £3, then went a bought a NFII Ultra B for £10 (Killed That board by accident). Also got stuff for AGP as I've got a 4Core-DualSATA2 . Then I've got an Ultra-D for the 939 socket and a LanParty 250GB for socket 754. So i should be OK for old hardware i think
If i could get an ASUS U3S6 for my lanparty board then i should be able to get pretty decent PCMark scores too, just need to get another Vertex for RAID then me thinks. Oh and i can get a load of old AGP cards for the "Geforce History Tour" since they have a box full of them, i'm sure there will be a few ATI Rage cards in there too
Would very much like to get hold of a A75-UD4 board and a 3870K if i could, would love to have a go at benching them, sub zero of course. That of course then means that i'm going to have to get myself an LN2 pot. Seems like i'm gunna need a lot of money to feel my needs
Shouldn't be too much of a problem though, exams end soon so i can go back to work and earn some cash, also sell around £200 worth of surplus stock i've got in my room. Should give me a healthy budget to spend on hardware.
