Hi guys,
So up to now I have always been using your typical 3pin Fans. I'm still running my 900D with two rads all in push n pull. Previously they were just cheap £9 EK Gelid fans and it had me satisfied to an extent. Controlling via the aquaaero x6t has been simple and highly rewarding.
Finally though, I was enticed by the Vardar fans from EK particularly the PWM versions.
Now initial setup I had them running at a fixed pwr of just 33% and while quiet the PC does get toasty when everything is over-clocked. I am well aware, that PWM fans can have an annoying whine at low duty cycle, and some people have resolved this by making their own little circuits with diodes and resistance.
However I was a little surprised at how bad my pwm fans whine when I set them to be controlled by the CPU temperature. <34% or >60% there is no noise, but in-between they really squeal. I can live with a hot pc and stick with 33% but I'm always keen on improving and fully understanding the Aquaero controller.
Anyone have advice or tips on reducing this noise perhaps someone with experience with the Aquaero 6Xt.?
I suspect it could be due to my cowboy fix of daisy chaining 14fans on one channel via EK 4fan to 1fan connection and the likes.
