Urgent help! PC not starting

Oh aye yeah. Sorry you're having issues man.

Thanks man, appreciate it :)

Thought I'd post an update now.

I installed everything in the new motherboard, on the motherboard box, on my desk.
Test run outside an case, before putting everything in, to make sure it works.

Pressed the power button on the motherboard itself and everything lit up nicely.

So it seems it was the motherboard that died then... Fingers crossed most stuff is still on my M.2 SSD though, so I can hopefully back that up before installing my new Windows 10 Professional :)

Thanks for the help though guys, especially to Excalabur50 and a huge one to SPS, for being on at the time and helping me out. Highly thankful and appreciated guys! :)

Excellent news thanks for the update, glad it's all sorted for you now.

Yeah seems like it, so far so good. But will rest my breath untill I've properly gotten most installed etc before I rest surely though. But seems like there's a light in the darkness atleast :)

And thanks bud, appreciate your kind words :)

Excellent news that you managed to get another board and hopefully all goes well getting your data off the M.2
And that's what we do family helps one another :)

No problem, now make sure you get a surge protector :p

If you can buy a UPS that way you are protected from both surges and brownouts.
I wouldn't run my system now without one the best are sinewave followed by simulated sinewave, mine is a sinewave and worth every cent paid for it too

Yeah but a surge protector is better than nothing and a UPS costs much more. Just use that what you have for the moment Chrazey - you can certainly look UPSs but you don't need one.

The only time I ever used a UPS was back when I was spending 17 hours a day in Photoshop. I was sick of all the power cuts we used to get in the USA so I cadged one off a mate of mine who worked in IT. It was very handy for not losing two to three hours of work in a power cut.

They're pricey though (for decent ones) and they weigh a crap ton too. In the end we used to hook up all of our lamps to it to use as a backup power supply when the power went out :D the yanks in their infinite wisdom decided that running their main power supply through overhead cables on telegraph poles was a great idea.

Until some one crashes into one, snapping it in half of course.
