Up for an Apple?

Well as y'all know Apple have shipped out their latest edition of Notebook as of today (14th October 2008) and I do fancy the new designs, but how dare they mess about with the pricing. Currently (14th October) they are selling their white macbook for £719 which used to be £699 - the entry level Macbook and it still is the entry level macbook today. If you want the new aluminium you have to pay £949.

What I'm hard up against is the fact that they changed the price tag of the white macbook from £699 to £719. Why is that?

And I am not a fan of what they did to the Mousepad. I can see that this may in fact be an issue as quite some people do have relatively BIG fingers and may break the damn thing

hehe yeah £699 with free shipping... now £719 with free shipping.. maybe the ship is charging more

Mac mini - £399 :O ! Might get one of those in the states next.

They look realy niceand ooze quality just can't get my head around...well mac OS maybe I should try it one day, when my lappy needs and update...thig is sometimes I need to be able to use/run windows files and that can't be done on a mac can it??

have to admit, apples are the nicest looking pc around. the imac, hmmmmmmm.

I love my mac, more than i ever expected.

I run vista on bootcamp just to get around a few compatability problems, but for me its 99% of the time on OS X

+1 White looks kinda cheap, although the aluminium is nice in its own way.

I know what you mean! Apple make nice machines, they used to make very nice machines (G4 Powerbook, Powermac G5), I don't think the quality is quite as good as it used to be before they started making macs in china though.

I can't stand elitist mac users, yeah they have a nice OS but it's not that great! They're a bit like iPhone fanboys **cough**

Could really use a mac around here just for Logic Pro though, it's literally the only reason I'd have for getting one Stupid emagic getting bought out by apple!

Fanboi-ism sucks, every bit of kit has it's uses. Some things do stuff better than others for certain things, and the opposite can apply for the remainder.
