Unsecured Wi-Fi lands man in terror investigation

An American ex-pat, living in India, has been caught up in an anti terrorism investigation after an email from a terrorist group was sent using his wireless network.

This is serious stuff, it's like wrong identity but taken to the extreme you could be a suspect for some serious offences.
 
None of them are any different. You can use a sniffer for any of them honestly. But most people dont know how to use one, or even where to begin to look for one.
 
WEP can be cracked in under 10 mins - i saw a demo at university!

WPA is supposedly uncrackable by the same means as WEP (apparently) but there are other ways that iv been taught for educational means such as renaming your network the same as theirs, ur signal being stronger and unsecure - setup correctly with the right stuff it will send all their data via your network from which you can collect what you want
