Unplugging the GT

I thought this morning that it is a waste to let my GT plugged all the time although my PC is not on. So I unplugged it this morning and got the scary experience to see my PC starting to boot on its own... Just had time to switch off the PSU and apparently nothing burned. Why on earth does the power switch of the GT closes when you unplug the mains???

Why on earth does the power switch of the GT closes when you unplug the mains???

I guess it is the way they've put the mains relay - seems a little short sighted though
