Gigabyte AE error

Hi guys. I've got quite an old rig from around 2016 with a AX370 Gaming 5 motherboard, and a Ryzen 5 1600x. Things have been good for ages but lately I've been getting the error code in the thread title?

I've been round the Internet and tried various things but they don't seem to cure it. The weird thing is that if I go into the BIOS, change nothing, save and exit, the PC always boots fine. It's just from normal switch on it fails to do so.

Someone suggested changing the Displayport cable as some cheaper one's apparently have a pin that gives power to the motherboard and can interfere with the boot routine but that hasn't changed anything.

Anything I can try would be greatly appreciated.

Quick Question - Are you using the newest BIOS?

Hmm. My first thing for strange errors like that is to remove and re-insert a lot of components. Make sure nothing is loose.

I'm assuming that your motherboard's manual says nothing about this type of error?

I have the latest BIOS. The error isn't listed in the manual but according to others online it's a boot legacy error.

I'll try making sure nothing is loose and report back.
