Yea I thought it was Winchester core. As I said - most places sell only Winchester now (well in the UK)

Here most places sell Newcastles

Really....the UK's main distributers that I use all have Winchester cores. The only Newcastle cores are 754. Can never find Clawhammer cores though.

He - strange how that goes isn't it.

The only Clawhammer cores I could get was either a 3700+ 754 or well...the 4000+ 939 has a 1mb cache (and of course the FX series).

Kustom PC's, Aria UK, Novatech, Chillblast and some others all stocked Winchesters.

Should work fine with ur mobo, it'll just need the BIOS flashed... Turion is the new mobile s754 chip.

It's apparently going to be the somewhat "equivalent" to the 939 Venice... Should be able to tear it up with the Turion.

Definately! I almost contemplated building a backup s754 right just so I could have a reason to use a Turion

Well after OC'ing the nuts off my 3200+ and deciding its too slow....then I'll get a Turion!!

Haha... lately I've run into a bit of a cash flow shortage with mad bills and shit pouring in. I should be back in the computer parts whoring business within a month or two though.

Maybe a dual core.....more likely an FX CPU with watercooling or phase changing and SLi. Big saving for that!
