that costs kind alot for my budget ....

Well you could spend less but I would get and SLI board. I mean, you don't have to but its worth getting something in case you DO get another GPU.

Then I would add a BFG 6800GT OC PCI-E - ebay

Then an OCZ PC3200 DDR400 2 x 512mb Platinum D Chan Set.

Maybe go for an MSI Neo 2 Platinum motherboard. If you can get hold of an epo board then do so but I can never seem to see any in the UK.

well there is a problem which is that that's pci express while my 6800 is agp so preferably it has to be agp ;)

Sorry - forgot you had a 6800 there.

Well you could do what I did and get a DFI UT NF3 250gb. I got mine from Kustom PCs cause they are the best customer service in the country. That one is skt 754.. I picked up a 3200+ for mine (2.2GHz) but if you wanted higher performance you could get a 3700+ Clawhammer ARIA do some cheap(ish)

Then get some nice OCZ 2 x 512 PC3200 DDR400 Platinum D Chan. I would again reccomend Kustom PC's. Trust me, its worth like 3 extra pounds just for the peace of mine of knowing that you can return the items, they'll test them for you and then RMA VERY quickley.

Hope this helps!!

Yeah I like Kempez's idea if you're looking to stick with ur AGP 6800 GT... The DFI s754 LanParty mobo is pure secks in a box. As far as CPU goes find yourself a CG stepping DTR chip, they overclock like a mofo and the have that nice 1mb l2 :)

Well then maybe an MSI Neo2 Platinum NF4?

The the OCZ modules, then a nice 4000+ s939 (1mb L2 cache!!)

Not that much......doh!! :D

What's DOA?? couldn't find it on the Sysxtreme Urban Dictionary lol :D

Dead On Arrival! :D

EDIT: Yeah I'll let you rep me!

And MSI=EVIL!!!

Very very fussy boards....mine felt like it was gonna break when I picked it up. And it did. AND I was very careful!!

MSI=Fussy as hell! :mad:

why evil MSI??? never had probs with my K8N Neo Platinum

3 DOA's in two years isn't saying much about quality control over at MSI... lol.

Not to mention if you accidentally sneeze within 40 feet of it, it's probably going to go haywire and never work again. ;)

It'll probably be the price of the Heatsink and Fan that makes the difference to the processor price. Mot of the cores sold nowadays are winchesters but soz I'm feeling lazy and can't be arsed to look for too long. ;)
