Two m.2 slots... is one faster?

Using both my M.2 slots, but I note that one is NVME/SATA while the other is just NVME - is there any chance the NVME-only one is faster because it doesn't use the SATA bus?

My computer seems to boot faster with the OS drive in the NVME-only slot, but this could be a placebo-effect on my part...:)

They are both the same speed. Thing is they are using the same bus to the CPU. It depends on chipset and motherboard, but usually if they go trough PCH they have 4X PCIE to share.

Edit: if they are configured as NVME in BIOS they both use NVME protocol. One of them can be reconfigured to work with standard SATA drives.
