nvme expansion card

I have crosshair 7 which the 2nd nvme slot shares pci lanes with my graphics card thus reducing the gfx to x8 only.

Is it worth getting an expansion card to put into one of the x4 pci slots?

Also, when you say X4.... Is that full length? like X16 long but only X4?

So long as it's getting 8x your not going to see a real difference on that card very similar to mine, but if 4x then alien is at hand, the issue with lanes and such is more so with higher end cards where if on PCI-e3 it would really hamper it, really just depends on the card and if an older board.

I have mine running on 8X as HBA card uses 8X on PCI-e3 and it's been fine even took out HBA card just to compare it's like 1-2fps at most at times so i see that as a non issue.
